I’m sure you all are interested in knowing what kind of friends I hang out with… well… as you are about to see by a post on the forum this morning, I think I hang out with some weisenheimers!
I’m always in for a good laugh and figured this was a pretty good one. Scott, my weight loss surgery support friend who has his own blog, Bald Is Beautiful, posted this:
OK, I know this is totally off topic, but I thought it was fun.
When my wife and I started dating several years ago, I turned her on to some of my Christmas time traditions. One of those is watching old Christmas movies. Sure the new ones they show on Lifetime and ABC family are nice and cheesy. They just don’t match up to the classics like “It’s a Wonderful Life” with Jimmy Stewart, or “The Bishops Wife” with Loretta Young, Cary Grant and David Niven. Well one that she watched and truly enjoyed was “We’re No Angels” with Humphrey Bogart, Aldo Ray, and Peter Ustinov.
This year for Christmas, I finally found her a DVD copy of “We’re No Angels”. As we were watching it on Saturday night, one of the lesser known characters came on screen. Beth exploded from her chair saying “OMG, I think we just saw Melinda’s grandmother!”
The actress in question was Gloria Talbott. Now I’ve never heard of her, so I went to my favorite movie site (IMDB ~ Internet Movie Database), to check her out. I could not believe what I saw. It was a picture of Melinda! Not really, but the resemblance was exceptional. especially the smile and the eyes! To make things worse than they were, the list of movies she was in was truly hilarious! “Cyclops” , “I Married a Monster From Outer Space”, “The Daughter of Dr Jekyll”, and my favorite… “The Leech Woman”!
No disrespect meant to our lovely Melinda! I just could not get over the resemblance.
Melinda, you told us all about being the illiegtimate off-spring of Granny Crocker, how come you never mentioned Granny Talbott?

Well the vote is in from someone that does not remark much, Todd!!! I showed him last night and he said WOW that does look like Melinda. So there you go it must be true for him to make a remark like that!! LOL
