Unfortunately, my headaches were prior to the removal. They were getting severe, daily as a matter of fact. Sometimes nearing my period, it was to the point of migraines and I could barely function. It took about a week for me to notice lots of changes, and now 3 1/2 weeks later, my headaches are nearly gone. BUT, the first period after the removal is this week, and it has been difficult. I've been crampy, muscles ache alot, irritable but not nearly as depressed as I had been with the Mirena. You may want to check Medications.com under the Mirena section. I'm wondering...has your headache gone away? I didn't have headaches with the Mirena, but about 24 hours after I had it removed I started getting a headache that has not gone away in the last 5 days. I'm thinking it may be the hormones going nuts. I'm just praying it will go away soon. I was wondering how soon you felt back to "normal" after your removal?
