I thought that would be quite the title for a post about pill organizers! A few days ago, I blogged about my new pill organizer. Erin inquired and would like a product review, and Cari stated most pill organizers she’s seen are dinky. It reminded me of a HUMONGOUS pill box at Walgreens, so I went searching for it on the internet (at Forgetting The Pill)! However, I’m afraid I didn’t have the courage to tote this sucker home! Look at the box in comparison to the person’s fingers! You can tell its magnitudinal!
I did find an interesting pill organizer which comes in a black case, much like a calendar organizer. Depending on how large the pill boxes are, this might be a great thing IF a person wanted to carry their pills around everywhere (I, HOWEVER, AM NOT ONE OF THOSE FOLKS!) It does provide some privacy.
That’s the end of my pill box musings today…

I LOVE that one, too!!! Good heavens, I sport my supplements like a Gucci Bag. Why not carry them around in a Cadillac???
Bwahaha! Cari that is hilarious! We could always super glue a purse handle on it so that you can tote it around on your shoulder!!! Bwahaha! Hilarious! I can see it now!
So, where DID you find that pill organizer that looks like a day planner?
Look up above in the post for a link that says: Forgetting the Pill. It’s on that site under pill organizers. I thought that was a great idea, and to be honest, I would consider it especially for traveling. Not to take to work every single day… but hey, you could always toss it in your tote bag!
Oh my goodness! Oh my GOODNESS! First off, I did see that link, but thought it only pertained to the top one (my bad), but secondly — I am SO desperate for a timer and they have them HERE
I used to have one that attached to the top of my Wellbutrin bottle, but it died and I was never able to find another one. In the early days of Wellbutrin (pre generic and timed release stuff), you had to take it 4X per day! Well, getting all of them in was a little dicey for me — until I got the little pill minder for the lid. So, now that I’m back to so many supplements — which, by the way, I know that I am taking incorrectly, I’m totally excited about finding a pill timer that will actually WORK. Yippee skippee!!!
I don’t know if you use your cell phone a lot, but I went into calendar, and set reminders for every dosing throughout my day. It alerts me, and I have to manually hit “dismiss this” or keep seeing it until I take care of it. That helped a lot, too.
I have been flirting with that idea for about a week now. Sigh. I guess I’ll have to bite. Damn cell phones. What good are they, anyway? I just need to make a phone call. Ugh.
I use Google Calender to send me text messages during the day to remind me to take my pills. It is very helpful.
I used to have my computer calendar remind me to take my iron and my multi and my calcium, but it was too easy to ignore. Isn’t that terrible? I am such a 2-year old sometimes. “I don’t WANNA!” You’re right, though, Google Calendar (fun! free! fast!) would be a useful tool…but…isn’t there a program out there that will literally grab me by the ponytail and not let go until I swallow my stool softener? Seriously…
